Walker Farm offers a choice selection of unique flowering plants that we've collected especially for you. We overwinter many of these fine varieties in our stock plant greenhouse. Beginning late autumn and continuing throughout the winter, our green-thumb propagator, Daisy, takes cuttings that will be ready for sale in the spring. Arctotis hybrida 'Flame' - This orange-red bloomer just 'keeps on keepin' on' all summer through heat and dry times.
Bouvardia ternifolia - Upright clusters of scarlet clusters bloom all year long; truly interesting and easy to grow.
Canna 'Phaison' - Variegated red and chartreuse foliage with hot orange blooms; create a tropical paradise.
Cardoon 'Gigante' - Long, lance-like, silver-gray leaves; grows to 5', quite a stately structure plant to stir the neighbors.
Centaurea gymnocarpa 'Colchester White' - Striking silver-white foliage, excellent for bringing out colors of other plants in containers.
Cerinthe 'Blue Kiwi' - Electric-blue bracts, shiny green foliage; quick & easy to grow.
Coleus 'Religious Radish' - Rich vibrant red overlaid with maroon on this sample coleus from our ever-expanding collection.
Convolvulus 'Morning Trails' - One of our favorite plants for hanging baskets; loads of sky-blue morning glory flowers on trailing stems.
Cosmos atrosanguineus 'Chocolate Cosmos' - Scented chocolate daisy flowers blooms all summer; excellent as a cutflower, too.
Dahlia 'Bishop of Llandaff' - From virus-free North Hill plants, dark red blooms against stunning black-red foliage.
Datura meteloides - Giant showy white blooms with sweet lilac blush at the edges; powerful evening fragrance.
Digitalis 'Primrose Carousel' - Beautiful foxglove with primrose trumpets; one of our many digitalis selections.
Felicia Amelloides Variegated - One of Martha Stewart's favorite plants; bright blue flowers against yellow-green foliage.
Fuchsia 'Gartenmeister' - Very popular upright fuchsia with dark orange dangling trumpets against purple-black foliage.
Fuchsia magellanica 'Aurea' - Purple-red flowers against chartreuse foliage. Brightens up shady containers.
Gynura aurantiaca 'Royal Velvet' - Soft pink blooms of this heat-loving verbena will win your heart and glow in your containers.
Helichrysum petiolare 'Limelight' - Soft, fuzzy lime-green leaves dangle nicely from containers or baskets; doesn't overpower.
Lisianthus - Lisianthus, Eustoma, the Prairie Rose; the longest lasting cutflower and we offer 35 beautiful varieties.
Lobelia 'Kathleen Mallard' - Beautiful blue double blossom lobelia, like a miniature rose; likes cool temps, Walker Farm favorite.
Meconopsis sheldonii - For all those who marvel at the fantastic blue meconopsis in the North Hill gardens, now you can have it too!
Modiolastrun peruvianum - Extremely rare plant; salmon-pink malva-like blooms on spilling, green foliage; nice in mixed containers.
Nicotiana alata 'Fragrant Cloud' - Pure white blooms all summer long; sweetly fragrant in the evening.
Nicotiana langsdorfii - Stately long stems bear hanging lime-green trumpet flowers; loves heat, tolerates part shade.
Oeanthe japonica 'Flamingo' - Cream & gray-pink foliage highlight containers; excellent as a watergarden plant, too.
Papaver 'Coral Reef' - Coral Reef poppies, one of the many annual & perennial varieties we offer in 6-pack and 5 quart containers.
Salvia patens - Perhaps one of the nicest of the blue flowers; highlights any container or garden planting.
Strobilanthes 'Persian Shield' - Brilliant purple streaks give a wild, tropical look; loves the summer heat; tolerates partial shade.
Verbena bonariensis - One of Walker Farm's favorite plants; lavender flower spikes to 5 feet, attracts butterflies and reseeds readily.
